Short Description:
This book is a compilation that contains 20 contributions addressing alternatives to animal testing that were presented at the international symposium by the Swiss Institute for Alternatives to Animal Testing.

Abstract:
This work offers a broad survey on alternatives to animal experimentation. Recently developed replacement strategies are described in detail from a scientific point of view. The work should be of interest to those engaged in developing or enforcing alternatives to animal testing.
