Short Description:
This survey of over 2,000 U.S. adults finds that a majority of people are concerned about the use of antibiotics in farm animals and that this concern is even greater among parents.
Abstract:
In total, 75% of U.S. adults want the government to step in to regulate the use of antibiotics in animals farmed for food. The majority (71%) also believe that overuse of antibiotics in farmed animals is causing antibiotic resistance. Among parents, 79% believe the overuse and misuse of antibiotics in farmed animals is causing a health crisis. 8 out of 10 parents surveyed want to prevent the labeling of meat as "natural" if it came from an animal that was treated with antibiotics.
