Animal Tracker: HRC-Led Study Currently In Progress
What do people think of animal protection issues and animal advocates? Do consumers change their actions in response to outside influences or personal concern for animal welfare? How are those attitudes and behaviors changing over time?
HRC believes that animal advocates need an accurate and consistent understanding of the attitudes and behavior of adults in the U.S. Tracking surveys can provide answers to essential questions, including measuring the long-term impact of advocates on public awareness of and sympathy for animal issues.
HRC recently proposed and received initial funding for the Animal Tracker, an annual survey of U.S. adults covering key issues related to animal protection. The survey will include a set of standard questions covering general issues, but will also have flexibility to add other questions and cover specific issues. Animal Tracker will provide animal advocates with an accurate and consistent understanding of the opinions and behavior of U.S. adults over time.
